Jodhpur – Osian
Day 01: Arrive Jodhpur
Arrive Jodhpur. Assistance on arrival by our company chauffeur & transfer to your prebooked hotel. Evening can visit Local Market / Personal activities. Overnight stay at the Jodhpur.
Day 02: Jodhpur Sightseeing
After breakfast full day free for sightseeing visiting the Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Museum, Clock Tower & Mandore Garden. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at Jodhpur.
Day 03: Excursion to Bishnoi Village [80 Kms Roundtrip]
After breakfast, day free for excursion to Bisnoi Village. Enjoy local jeep ride: Visit Salawas (Weavers village), Kakani (Potter's and block printers village), Gudha village (Where you can spot wild life & visit Bishnoi families). Meet the ‘Premier ecologists of the world’, the Bishnois, who have protected nature for more than 500 years and are responsible for the very survival of species like the Black Buck antelope. They share a beautiful relationship with this special animal, wherein the antelope stays close to Bishnoi habitation, never leaving it, and displays complete trust in the Bishnoi people. Guests also meet the Raikas (shepherds) with their glorious costumes, and the Paliwals and Meghwals, the Brahmin farmers and weavers respectively. Visit includes an Opium ceremony at a Brahim house. Later drive back to Jodhpur. Overnight at Jodhpur.
Day 04: Jodhpur to Osian [70 Kms 01 to 02 Hrs Drive]
After breakfast proceed to Osian. On arrival check in to your pre booked hotel. Thereafter visit the former temple city of Osian has 8th century Surya or Sun temple with carved pillars which support a conical roof. The temple also has an image of Durga. The 12th century Sachiya Mata temple has a large assembly hall with an elaborately carved ceiling & exquisitely sculptured figures of several Gods. The Mahavir Jain temple stands on a wide terrace with a three-tiered roof and a ‘torana' gateway. Evening enjoy jeep / camel ride further into the dunes with Champagne Sunset. Later return for dinner at Camp. Overnight stay at Osian.
Day 05: Osian to Jodhpur Drop [70 Kms 01 to 02 Hrs Drive]
After Breakfast check out & proceed to Jodhpur. On arrival on time transfer to Jodhpur Airport / railway station to board the flight / train for Onward destination.
